(1h talk + 30mn questions)

We are used to represent the world with perspective systems which are based on single sights and eyes systems (euclidean & persian perspectives, cinema, photography…) but as our contemporary societies are entering the 21st century on collaborative and global projects, artists have to think how to re adapt our systems of representation which fit to our actual world. At the the junction of photography, performance and drawing, Nicolas HAVETTE develops his work titled FORTUNES, attempting to create a new representation system, slightly surrealist and totally enjoyable, based on human memory system, and based on physical and mental experiences of our spaces. The artist will be a resident of Penang the next three months and invites you to participate to his project to create a participative representation of Georgetown.
This presentation will focus on the different works he did develop the last 2 years in Taiwan, China, Italy, Portugal and France.
At the end of the cession those who would like to participate, and take a part the the FORTUNES IN PENANG are invited to exchange with the artist
