DAEFLE

Become a teacher of french as a foreign language

The Diplôme d’Aptitude à l’Enseignement du Français Langue Etrangère is a professional qualification for teaching French as a foreign language, co-organised by the Alliance française Paris Ile-de-France and the CNED (French national centre for distance learning).

The DAEFLE is a distance-learning qualification, and may be taken as initial professional training or as part of a candidate’s ongoing professional development. To receive the qualification, the candidate must complete 6 modules and successfully pass the final exam, which is made up of several tests. The modules may be studied separately over several years. There is an obligatory pre-enrolment online access test.

It is possible to register for both the access test and final exam with the Alliance Française de Penang. The access test is held online from the candidate’s home whereas the final exam takes place at our centre.

Further information on these tests may be found at www.alliancefr.org, the website of the Alliance française de Paris Ile-de-France.
